Terms & Conditions

These terms govern reservations, guest conduct, and operational policies for Casa Del Toro, Getsemaní, Cartagena, Colombia.

1. Reservations & Payments

  • Booking Confirmation — All reservations must be confirmed in writing by our concierge team.
  • Deposit Requirement — A 50% deposit is typically required to secure your dates, with the remaining 50% due 30 days prior to arrival.
  • Last-Minute Bookings — For last-minute bookings, full payment may be required upfront.
  • Payment Methods — We accept Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX via secure Stripe link (3% processing fee applies). Wire transfers have no fee.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Deposit — The 50% deposit is non-refundable.
  • 14+ Days Before Check-in — Cancellations made 14 or more days prior to check-in will receive a refund for any amount paid beyond the initial 50% deposit.
  • Less Than 14 Days — No refund will be provided.
  • Travel Insurance — We strongly recommend guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance.

3. Guest Responsibilities

  • Treat the villa, furnishings, equipment, and staff with respect.
  • Comply with local guidelines regarding music and nighttime noise (music must stop at 10 PM per Cartagena police enforcement).
  • No smoking inside any interior spaces.
  • Supervise children at all times, especially around the pool.
  • Report damages or maintenance issues immediately.

4. Staff & Service Hours

  • The villa includes a dedicated daytime cook and maid (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
  • A live-in administrator provides 24/7 security and on-site assistance.
  • Breakfast preparation can be arranged with our chef services (groceries cost extra).
  • Additional late-night service or extended chef hours may incur extra fees.

5. Liability & Personal Property

  • Casa Del Toro is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
  • Guests assume responsibility for their own safety when using facilities.
  • The villa is not liable for service interruptions beyond its control.

6. Events & Gatherings

  • Events with more than 14 guests require prior approval.
  • Outside vendors are permitted with advance coordination.
  • Music must stop at 10:00 PM in compliance with local noise ordinances.

7. Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond reasonable control, Casa Del Toro may reschedule the stay or offer a credit for future use.

Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia.
